Now one of the tips I was told was to always empty your pockets of change at the end of a day into a jar. If it isn’t in your pocket, you won’t spend it. I know I am happy to spend the loose change in my pocket on a larger coffee or similar. Amazing how much a small jar of coins turns out to be after a few weeks. Especially if you know you would have spent it. 😉

It also helps because you have all your coins in the one spot, not left in pockets, bags and in the car.
